About Linda Findlay

Linda Findlay became a bereaved parent after the loss of her infant daughter, Aubrie Marie in 1989.  Linda lives in upstate NY along with her husband Bob and their daughter Julia.  She is a certified grief support specialist, a published author and a guest speaker at various engagements throughout the US.  Linda began working with grieving families in 1990.  Since that time she has filled the role of Aftercare Coordinator for funeral home firms.  She currently represents over 300 funeral home firms in 25 states and Canada.  Linda has continually facilitated bereavement support groups as a hospice volunteer and is an AARP Widowed Person Service volunteer trainer and outreach provider.  She has provided follow up care to tens of thousands of families in grief.

She is a nationally known speaker on subjects of loss and grief.   She is sought out by funeral home firms across the country to provide community outreach workshops, holiday memorial services and grief support training for staff.

In a style reflecting compassion, personal loss, experience working with bereaved families, she effectively communicates with people who are grieving a loss to death.  Through the sharing of personal stories and professional experiences with both integrity and credibility, Linda provides valuable tools, understanding and solid, practical ways to help the bereaved.

After years of encouragement from her peers, Linda completed her first book project.  She has authored a series of books called , the "Family Care Series™".  There are four books in the series.  Each book is written to be received at specific times during the first year of grief.  She is very proud of this work and honored to be able to provide this wonderful resource to her funeral home clients, for their families.
