Any organization working in the death care space.

"My life’s work is not about mailing books. I don’t just mail books. I mail a glimmer of hope. A gesture that says “You matter and I care”, “here is some information that may help”. Checking in with grieving families, when typically, close family and friends have moved on, is the most rewarding and valuable experience.  I am truly blessed beyond measure!"

About Linda Findlay

Linda Findlay has dedicated over four decades to supporting individuals and families navigating the journey of loss and grief. Her path into this work began not as a career choice, but through personal tragedy—what she refers to as being “thrown into the Bereavement World.” On September 1, 1989, Linda’s firstborn daughter, Aubrie, was born and died the same day, making her a bereaved parent and forever shaping the course of her life’s work.

In 1991, Linda began a resource and referral service for grieving families. This work grew into Mourning Discoveries, Grief Support Services, officially founded in June 1994. Shortly thereafter, she began working with funeral homes as an Aftercare Coordinator, helping to extend care beyond the day of the service.

Linda’s life work is her daughter’s legacy. Each day, she considers it a privilege to walk alongside those experiencing loss. She has supported thousands of grieving individuals across the country, providing care through home visits, funeral homes, hospices, and faith-based organizations. Her work includes creating, facilitating, and coordinating hundreds of workshops, services of remembrance, and support groups.

In addition to her professional work, Linda serves as a lay counselor for a Christian Care Ministry in Greenville, South Carolina. She considers it her highest honor to enter into the lives of others during their most difficult moments and to offer comfort, understanding, and hope.
